As a Director of Content at Chartwell Agency, Cassi Steurer leads the agency’s content vision and execution, overseeing strategy, development, and performance across all client content initiatives.

Steurer has more than 25 years of experience in marketing, communications, and public relations. She joined Chartwell in 2011 as a communications strategist and was later promoted to director, where she led strategic initiatives for clients with a focus on education, healthcare, and nonprofit clients.

As Director of Content, Steurer will manage the development of smart, audience-focused content that reflects each client’s brand and objectives. She will guide content planning and execution, use data to fine-tune performance, and collaborate across teams to ensure messaging is consistent, effective, and aligned with broader campaign goals.

Understanding how to leverage various content communication tactics for greater impact is a passion Steurer has honed for more than two decades she has spent working in communications, content strategy, development, marketing and public relations for companies and organizations including AMCORE Bank (now BMO Harris Bank), Rockford University, and United Way of Rock River Valley. At Chartwell, she has worked with clients in a variety of industries including education, finance, food service, healthcare, nonprofit and retail.

Steurer serves on The Mill Foundation Board, a not-for-profit organization that provides funding to programs and organizations that benefit the Rockford region’s disadvantaged youth, and Midway Village Museum which collects, preserves, and interprets the diverse history of the Rockford region.
