As a Vice President at Chartwell Agency, Catherine Povalitis leads the communications team and is responsible for managing staff and client relationships, along with leading marketing and communications efforts that strategically align with clients’ business goals.  

Povalitis helps to best tell client stories and connect them to their key audiences through various means including highly targeted digital campaigns, search engine optimization, video production, marketing, media relations, advertising and more. Some of her greatest accomplishments, to-date, include securing coverage in Fortune, the Wall Street JournalBarron’s, USA TodayFox Business, CNBC, and the Chicago Tribune, in addition to managing website projects from the ground up, and developing highly targeted digital marketing campaigns that have helped increase business for Chartwell’s clients.  

Povalitis has nearly 20 years of experience in relationship management, communications, and marketing. Prior to Chartwell, she was the director of development at Discovery Center Museum where she was responsible for overseeing, designing, and executing a comprehensive fundraising program through corporate participation and individual relationships, in addition to launching the museum’s signature fundraising event. Povalitis also worked for the American Cancer Society where she raised nearly $2 million and led dozens of fundraising events.  

She holds a B.S. in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
