Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to enhancing lives through improved housing opportunities. The nonprofit organization builds simple, decent, affordable homes to be sold to families currently living in substandard housing.
This year, the organization celebrated and commemorated its 35th anniversary. To honor the milestone, Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity wanted to share positive stories about the organization’s impact and the importance of safe and affordable housing in the community while using the anniversary as a platform to connect with donors, influencers, partners, and other key audiences important to its mission.
To ensure excitement, consistency and year-long visibility, Chartwell Agency was hired to develop a suite of materials for Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity’s 35th anniversary including a video to showcase and bridge the gap of where Habitat for Humanity has helped, where it is now, and what the future holds for the organization and the community it serves.
The goal of the video was to connect emotionally with viewers and pull at heartstrings to entice and encourage individuals to support the future growth of Habitat for Humanity through monetary donations and dedicated time. To do that, Chartwell Agency developed a video with vibrant b-roll of volunteers at build sites and homeowners at their home groundbreakings and emotional interviews with volunteers, partners, and homeowners. The script was designed to share the stories of how Habitat is not just building brick and mortar homes but providing safe and affordable housing for families and ultimately building a stronger community.
The six-minute video was shown at the organization’s 35th anniversary celebration, “Hard Hats and High Heels,” to almost 300 attendees, displayed on the organization’s website, shared through its social media platforms, and will continue to be used throughout the year to visually share the story of the organization’s impact.
“Can I just tell you how much I love the final product? Your team is incredible! I’ve never been so proud of something in my entire career here!”
– Keri Asevedo, Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity’s executive director
