Chartwell Agency, an award-winning marketing firm based in northern Illinois, recently received a Gold and Honorable Mention Viddy award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals for its work on two commercial spots created for Bank of Lake Mills. The agency earned a Gold Award for the bank’s branding video and an Honorable Mention for its “Through the Years” video.
The Viddy Awards were founded in 1995 to honor excellence in all aspects of video production. The program recognizes excellence in video creation and production and has become one of the largest competitions in the history of film and video.
CWA Credit Union & Financial Marketing division partnered with Bank of Lake Mills to produce two brand storytelling videos highlighting the bank’s trusted, relationship-focused approach to banking and longstanding community presence.
Originally developed as a Connected TV (CTV) and digital advertising campaign to support growth in a new market, the campaign later expanded to include “Through the Years,” a personality-driven concept created for social media and organic marketing efforts. The videos highlight both the bank’s rich history and its continued commitment to serving generations of customers.
The “Through the Years” video takes viewers on a nostalgic journey through the evolution of hairstyles and fashion across decades, creatively tying each era back to the enduring presence of Bank of Lake Mills in the community. The lighthearted and visually engaging concept showcases how the bank has grown alongside the families and businesses it serves. The brand video focuses on the personalized service, local decision-making, and strong community relationships that continue to define the organization today.
Chartwell provided full creative and production support for both projects, including concept development, scripting, casting coordination, onsite art direction, videography, editing, motion graphics, and post-production management.
