Chartwell Agency Develops Website for Foreign Trade Zone #176
ROCKFORD, Ill. (March 1, 2019) — Chartwell Agency recently created a website for Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) #176 (www.ftzrockford.com).
FTZs allow foreign and domestic merchandise to move into the zone for operations and the merchandise is not subject to U.S. duty or excise tax until it is transferred from the zone for consumption. By removing some of the disincentives associated by manufacturing in the United States, the intent is to stimulate economic growth by encouraging American companies to expand operations in the United States. With that said, the complexities of FTZ administration – including determining which companies stand to benefit from the FTZ, conducting feasibility analysis, and managing the ever-dynamic web of legislation guiding tariffs, exports and imports – are significant.
Chartwell Agency was hired by Zethmayr LLC, which helps to identify, target and assist regional manufacturers with this process, to extend the organization’s reach beyond face-to-face interactions, generate potential leads, and develop an informational resource.
Chartwell designed the site with attention to the mobile user experience, streamlined navigation, and content strategy to meet user expectations while optimizing for search engines. The new site effectively meets the needs of business interested in learning more about the potential benefits of utilizing the northern Illinois’ FTZ.
