As a Director at Chartwell Agency, Audrey Moon leads the economic development division that primarily includes organizations that support real estate, manufacturing and logistics, and economic growth initiatives. She is responsible for managing client relationships and leading marketing and communications efforts that strategically align with clients’ business goals.
Moon has more than 10 years of experience in digital and broadcast journalism and believes in the power of storytelling to maximize a message by strategically using multiple platforms, including video, blogs, social engagement, articles, digital campaigns, and reports.
Prior to joining Chartwell, she was the news director at 13 WREX-TV, where she was responsible for overseeing newscasts and digital platforms; managing news, sports, and weather departments; developing storytelling; and working closely with the station’s marketing and creative services departments at the NBC affiliate. Under Moon’s leadership, the station won multiple awards, including national and regional Edward R. Murrow awards and several Emmys. Moon also worked for Wrapports Inc. in Chicago, where she was responsible for managing the websites for some of the Chicago Sun-Times’ local websites.
Moon is a 2018 graduate of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Rockford program and was a moderator for the 2019 group. Since 2017 she’s served on the Board of Directors at Children’s Safe Harbor, a non-profit agency working to provide safe child exchange for families experiencing domestic violence.
