Chartwell Agency Wins District Advertising Gold for Rockford Airport Social Media Campaign

Firm is the Only Regional Agency to Earn Gold; Moves to National Competition

Chartwell Agency took home a Gold ADDY award at the District 6 American Advertising Awards for a social media campaign created for the Chicago Rockford International Airport.

Chartwell was the only AAF Northern Illinois organization to be honored with a Gold ADDY at the district level.

As a Gold ADDY honoree, the entry automatically moves on to the national American Advertising Awards, winners of which will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony in June.

The “Getaways to Dream About” social marketing campaign encouraged visitors to dream of future trips and vacations post-pandemic by utilizing the airport and traveling to one of its many destinations.

The campaign was also honored with a Gold ADDY at the local American Advertising Federation (AAF) Northern Illinois American Advertising Awards and was one of seven ADDYs Chartwell won at that competition.

From there, the airport campaign was judged at the District 6 competition, which includes AAF clubs in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan.
