Rockford Gastroenterology Associates (RGA) is an independent physician practice focused on diagnosing and treating individuals with digestive health conditions. The practice was founded in 1980 and is the digestive healthcare leader in the Rockford region. Care is delivered by 13 physicians, seven nurse practitioners, and a robust support team of nurses and administrative staff who work in the clinic and hospital settings. The practice has one main location that also includes an ambulatory surgery center for procedures such as colonoscopies and endoscopies.

Solution

RGA partnered with Chartwell Agency in 2017 to develop a marketing strategy that would emphasize their four decades of experience and university-level training and service offerings to be proactive in the changing local healthcare landscape. We worked with them to create a content strategy that includes educational blogs about pertinent digestive health topics, provider and staff profiles, patient stories, and practice news. We also claimed a user-generated Facebook page and built out the page with photos of the physicians and staff and the content from website.

Outcome

Content has a home on the RGA website under a News header. Traffic to RGA’s website has increased, with peaks recorded when new content is posted to the website (when previously, there was none). The practice has linked in with important awareness periods such as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month with topical blogs and content that was produced for radio advertising, social media and newspaper editorials.
