Board Cutting Event Positions TexAmericas Center as Regional Economic Driver

Leveraging its expertise in economic development marketing and public relations, Chartwell Agency developed a strategy to meet and exceed its client’s goal of not only welcoming its newest tenant but highlighting TexAmericas Center as an economic driver for the Texarkana region.

The ”board cutting” activities included a community gathering celebration and press conference. Chartwell Agency helped organize all logistics, including everything from securing food and coordinating parking to renting chairs and gathering board cutting materials. A highlight of the event was the cookies served to attendees: the cookies included a QR code, which could be scanned and then directed people to TexAmericas Center’s webpage featuring EnviroSafe Demil and its potential for the region.

In addition, Chartwell Agency oversaw the announcement of the new tenant including securing speakers, drafting talking points and coordinating the agenda. The firm coordinated the media announcement as well, which included drafting of the media alert and press release and organizing interviews and other media opportunities both day of event and post announcement.

Chartwell Agency also leveraged its design and video expertise for the project. The firm developed wayfinding signage, electronic event invitations, and graphics and signage for the event. To support lawmakers who were unable to attend the press conference in person, the firm developed a video featuring their remarks.
