Rockford Area Economic Development Council (RAEDC) – now the Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) – collaborates with regional stakeholders to cultivate opportunities for primary job growth that increase the economic well-being of the region. The GRCC markets the region to attract new capital investment, while assisting existing business with resources for sustainable growth.

In 2023, RAEDC, along with the Rockford Area Aerospace Network, hosted the Midwest Aerospace Conference (MAC2023), an annual event put on by Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC), where leaders in the aerospace industry come together to network and share insights and visions for the future of the industry.

Solution

The organization selected Chartwell Agency as its partner to develop promotional and day-of event materials for MAC2023 as well as oversee media coordination for pre-event and on-site coverage.

The firm developed two one-page flyers – one to promote the event to attendees and another to promote the exhibitor booth opportunities. Both pieces leveraged the same design theme using the appropriate brands and a header with blue skies and an airplane to represent the aerospace industry. Chartwell developed copy for each piece which included key details (who, what, when, where, why) and recognized the event sponsors. For quick and easy registration access, Chartwell Agency included a QR code for individuals and organizations to register for both conference attendance and/or a booth.

Leveraging the same design theme as the promotional materials, Chartwell also developed the day-of event program which provided attendees with the essential information needed for the event. The program included sponsor recognition, schedule of events, speaker biographies, breakout and session descriptions, exhibitor listing with company descriptions and contact us QR codes and an exhibitor hall map. The piece was clean and succinct yet provided all the details attendees needed to have a positive and seamless experience.

In addition to creating the collateral for MAC2023, Chartwell Agency also managed all media relations to gain visibility before the event as well as on-site coverage and b-roll with sponsors and event leadership.
