Regional Overview Promotes Rockford’s Economic Strengths

As part of its strategic plan, the organization approached Chartwell Agency to help them to develop a regional overview that would highlight the area’s strength in manufacturing and logistics, as well as its educational institutions, housing market, top employers, recreational amenities, and infrastructure. The organization’s leaders wanted to showcase through strong visuals the beauty of the region as a place to live, learn, work, grow, and play.

Chartwell Agency leveraged its expertise in storytelling to develop a concept that not only shared information but told a story. The organization wanted to share the overall impact of economic development in the region and also categorize it into “chapters” so companies could find the information most important to their audience.

The final 20-page document begins with an overview of the Rockford region including information on its supply chain, top industries and proximity to the largest cities in the Midwest. It is then broken down into chapters – live, learn, work, grow and play. Each section features rich, vibrant photography from partners and companies mentioned in the overview, as well as infographics sharing data points, facts and critical messages about the section.
