Digital Campaign Highlights Rockford University’s New Career-Focused Degrees

Rockford University is a private four-year, co-educational institution founded in 1847 offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in traditional liberal arts and professional fields.

In 2023, the University introduced five new degrees that would be offered at the institution in opportunity-rich fields that are in high demand for employees. The degrees were in digital marketing, supply management, healthcare administration, data analytics and data science.

Solution

Rockford University enlisted Chartwell Agency to help with a digital campaign to promote the five new degrees to prospective students and their families. Time was of the essence and the firm needed to act quickly to design and implement the campaign as students were currently making enrollment decisions.

Chartwell Agency designed digital assets and landing pages for the new degree programs. The digital campaign included targeted email, display and social media ads, and CTV (video ads streamed on televisions). Each of the digital tactics had a call to action with a link to the corresponding landing page for the specific degree.

The digital ads and other tactics included stock photography and video of students performing tasks related to the degree being promoted. The photos were engaging, and the colors were rich and vibrant. Each digital tactic incorporated strong copy and a call to action that would resonate with the student (Ex: Data Analytics—Naturally Inquisitive? Turn it into a career.).

The landing pages were university-branded and matched the digital campaign creative. They included:

  • Informational copy about the degree
  • Infographics representing job opportunities, salaries, growth in industry, and certifications needed
  • Campus experience and curriculum details
  • Frequently asked questions about the degree program
  • A call to action to apply for the degree program

Outcome

Leveraging its expertise in education marketing, storytelling and digital marketing Chartwell Agency provided Rockford University with a compelling yet informational campaign that met the overall goal of promoting its new degrees to prospective students and their families. Some results included more than 400,000 digital impressions and 7,085 click throughs to the landing page.
