The Meadows School is a private, nonsectarian, college preparatory institution located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Designed to both push and support academically ambitious students, The Meadows School provides highly trained faculty, robust academic offerings, and top-notch arts and athletics that build the skills, character, and confidence for students to be successful in college and beyond. Mustangs go on to contribute meaningfully in an increasingly competitive and changing global society.

The Meadows School has established a compelling reputation aligned to its motto: In pursuit of excellence. The Meadows School wanted a marketing agency partner to create a compelling and dynamic annual fund campaign that would establish a culture of giving, increase participation among faculty/staff and families, and raise critical funds for the school’s most important initiatives.

Solution

Chartwell Agency partnered with the school’s marketing and advancement professionals to:

  • Develop a fundraising campaign concept that would inspire giving and would be flexible across print, digital, social, video, and web applications.
  • Design campaign brand stationery for use in donor development communications.
  • Draft campaign positioning statements and messaging for use in communications to faculty, staff, families, alumni, and community influencers.
  • Conduct a photo shoot to collect updated school assets for use in the campaign and beyond.
  • Produce a variety of fundraising campaign collateral including emails, letters, special event invitations, banners, and more.
  • Develop social media content calendars and graphics to promote “Days of Giving” and other special events tied to the campaign.
  • Develop campaign videos including introductory long form and short form pieces, “thank you” videos, and alternate cuts for use throughout the campaign and beyond.
  • Create a first edition for a new flagship annual publication named Scholar Lane to share student/faculty stories, celebrate the school’s successes, recognize donors, and lay a groundwork for continued donor development.
  • Design a compelling microsite to effectively communicate the impact donations would make and provide a simplified donation process.

Outcomes

The “Celebrating Excellence: Rooted in the Meadows” campaign connects the school’s proud history and success stories with a compelling ask for support. Participation rates in the annual fund campaign are up 17 percent – the highest in a decade – and fundraising efforts have yielded the highest amounts in eight years. These early successes are fueling additional fundraising initiatives and creating a culture of giving to support academics, unique programs, capital investments, faculty development, scholarships for years to come.
