Baton Rouge Cardiology Center (BRCC) is an independent medical practice focused exclusively on the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. The center, which has served the community for more than 40 years, boasts a specialized team comprised of physicians and advanced practice providers, delivering care at more than 20 locations in Louisiana and Mississippi.


Chartwell Agency recently completed a new website for Baton Rouge Cardiology Center, and we kicked off a digital campaign for the organization shortly after the site went live. The campaign utilized the strategies of search engine marketing (SEM), digital display advertising, social media advertising and direct email. Initially focused on general branding, the first round of digital messaging highlighted the practice’s experience and advanced technology paired with modern, colorful imagery that matched the new website design. Messaging later shifted to promote specific programs and initiatives such as a calcium score screening and a heart disease risk factor quiz.


Website traffic increased nearly 18% for Baton Rouge’s new site year over year from October to March. The campaign produced more than 12,000 visits to the website during a six-month period. At least 243 appointments, 80 of those involving new patients, can be linked to the SEM campaign alone. Baton Rouge officials also leaned into the digital model to advertise two new clinic locations via social media.
