Rock Valley Credit Union (RVCU) is a not-for-profit financial institution owned and operated by its members since 1968. Its field of membership includes Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, DeKalb, Lee, and Stephenson counties, IL, and Green, Rock and Walworth counties, WI. RVCU prides itself in customized services for each of its 16,000+ members and is dedicated to supporting more than 30 community events and organizations each year. RVCU is headquartered in Loves Park, with additional locations in Rochelle and Machesney Park.
Solution
Rock Valley Credit Union partnered with Chartwell Agency to create and implement a digital campaign to continue to build brand awareness and drive volume for its products. To get the best saturation for its targeted audience, Chartwell suggested RVCU run a CONNECTSM campaign customized each quarter for the specific product(s) the credit union wanted to promote at that time.
Chartwell Agency leveraged its experience in content development to create engaging messaging for each quarters’ specific focus in addition to assisting with graphic design to support the campaign visuals. The firm’s expertise in digital marketing was used to determine the best approach to tactics which allowed RVCU to saturate its target market of prospective members providing the right message at the right time throughout the decision-making process.
The quarterly CONNECTSM campaign included targeted email, addressable display ads, addressable connected TV (CTV) and social media advertising, and tactics and frequency varied depending on the product (ex: Wag’s Kids Savings Account and Balloon Lending) and audience for the quarter.
Outcome
The digital campaign focused on RVCU’s products was a highly successful approach for the credit union because it was hyper targeted to specific audiences and the frequency met customers where they were in the decision-making process. In addition, digital was a great approach to promote RVCU’s products because it’s flexible and can be changed frequently based on the organization’s goals.
The overall campaign saw a total of 1,342,744 impressions with 15,547 clicks, which assisted RVCU in an increase of sales for its financial products in 2023.
